Do you wear a hat when it’s cold?

Posted in Antiquated.

Do you wear a hat when it’s cold? As a working stiff I now tend to ‘get my hair did’ in the morning and go to the office. But, if it’s really chilly and I wear a hat I risk making a mess of all that time-consuming (30 seconds) work. Any ideas?

    This is just too tempting.

    Get a haircut.

Sorry, the devil made me do it.;-)

My curly hair tends to freak out if I put a hat on, so I usually just wrap a scarf around my head (middle eastern style). I don’t really think you can get away with that though, as it’s kind of a girl thing. Maybe try earmuffs? (where no one can see you)

@Vince: Haha, but my hair is cut. I just put my ‘product’ it in every morning so it’ll defy gravity.

@Kerry: Hmm, sounds like I’m out of luck.. I don’t even own a scarf.

I’ve found that my worry about what my hair looks like drops accordingly with the outside temperature. 30-ish degrees? I might tough it out. 0 degrees? Screw caring what my hair looks like — I’m wearing a hat.

So, my recommendation — wear the hat once it’s warranted. Since you already have product in your hair, just a little water should freshen back up your “look” once you get to work.

Hah, the inverse-temperature-caring gauge, very nice. I guess you’ve got a good point..

My hair is long enough to provide enough heat isolation.

Ahh, I can’t stand having long hair though.

uh just cut your hair really short like mine and it wont matter. i always wear a hat.

wear a hat. bring your product to work and arrive a few minutes early and do it in the bathroom!

Earmuffs! You’ll make one hell of a fashion statement!

Haha, I’ll let you know if I ever go that route. ;)
